Help us measure Conversational Debt
In partnership with @Fearless Culture, we are looking into the concept of Conversational Debt.
Therefore, we are collecting responses for the Conversational Debt Pulse Survey – from anyone working in any business or organisation.
We are asking about how much is not being said.
Conversational Debt is the cost of the conversations a team keeps postponing.
Like debt, it doesn’t disappear. It compounds. A concern buried in Q1 shows up as attrition in Q3.
The Survey looks into three kinds of debts:
- Alignment Debt, when teams settle for surface agreement.
- Belonging Debt, when people filter honesty to keep the peace.
- Collaboration Debt, when decisions stay ambiguous because nobody wants to own them.
It’s the first study to look into this, and we want Ireland to be a part of it.
While the Survey is global, your response will help us understand how Conversational Debt shows up in Irish organisations.
It’s the first time the concept of Conversational Debt has been fully formed and turned into a measurable Survey, so we are very interested in seeing what insights it can reveal. And how this can help us improve our Culture services.
